Building Projects Manager

We have exciting expansion plans over the coming years and require a Building Projects Manager to manage an extensive programme. Having just announced the purchase of the seven-acre former Food Manufacturing site on the Millfield industrial estate, adjacent to our current operation, the successful applicant will play a key part in this exciting phase. To start the role will include the management a £30m state-of-the-art build on a new Henry vacuum production operation with raw materials entering at one end and finished product leaving at the other before working on numerous other projects.

Reporting to a Senior Manager, the Building Projects Manager will be involved in the pre-construction, construction, and post construction phase of each building project. Leading a team, the Building Projects Manager will provide input on layouts, manage utilities, and consider other aspects such as parking, traffic, and material flows.

When construction begins the Building Projects Manager will be site based, managing a team of main and sub-contractors, ensuring all health and safety and environmental activities are always adhered to

Wellbeing Officer

Numatic International’s continued long-term success will be dependent on the talent and loyalty of the people we employ, we are passionate about making Numatic the best working environment and supporting our workforce to be fit and healthy as well as offering support where it is needed.

Working as part of the HR team the Wellbeing Officer will be responsible for the provision of a cost-effective, operational, generalist Wellbeing solution to the organisation. Partnering with key stakeholders (including Department Managers, Department Heads, and the wider Management teams ), you will be responsible for developing and implementing robust strategies across the organisation with the objective of improving performance, reducing absenteeism and reducing the costs and reliance on third-party suppliers of Wellbeing services.

In this operational role, the Wellbeing Officer will be very hands-on across all levels within the organisation, but in addition will be responsible for delivering our in-house health surveillance programme including lung function, audiometry, and visual testing. You will lead a team of in house mental health first aiders and act as a role model in health and nutrition.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate empathy and sincerity whilst recognising the limits of the role and use your ability to signpost to external organisations as needed.

Facilities Officer

The Facilities Officer will provide a range of Facilities services to help create and maintain a welcoming, safe, clean, efficient and robust working environment for staff, contractors and visitors.

The role will operate between the hours of 9am to 5pm, however some flexibly in line with the needs of the business, with some occasional out of hours’ work may be required. This would be planned in advance and recouped in lieu.

Warehouse Operations Manager

Due to the continued and planned growth of the business this new role has been created to increase the capacity and resilience of the current operations team. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Warehouse Operations Manager will take responsibility for all aspects of site warehousing and logistics. This will encompass both the commercial operation of shipping to our export and domestic customers and the management of inbound raw materials and their delivery to the manufacturing operation.
This role requires a customer orientated, strategic thinker with the experience to deliver world class performance to our manufacturing operations. You will be an inspirational leader for a team that is critical to our business performance.

 

  • To assist in the development of a manufacturing strategy to deliver our business objectives.
  • To develop and deliver short and medium-term improvement projects.
  • To monitor warehouse and logistics performance and to intervene to optimise processes.
  • To coach, mentor and develop the warehouse and logistics team.

Manufacturing Operations Manager

Due to the continued and planned growth of the business this new role has been created to increase the capacity and resilience of the current operations team. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Manufacturing Operations Manager will take responsibility for all aspects of our manufacturing processes. This will encompass both the finished goods assembly processes and the manufacture of mouldings and sub-assemblies to supply them.

Solution Architect

As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for providing expertise in the definition, design, implementation, adoption and adherence to architecture strategies, processes and standards.

You will support the design and implementation of technology, techniques, methods, or applications in multiple technology stacks, and a have a broad appreciation of architectural approaches. Aligning technologies with the business and customer goals, identifying benefits and risk mitigation approaches.

Reporting into the Lead Solution Architect the role will be varied and interesting, where you will act as a key interface between the business teams, the broader IT team and our 3rd party providers. We are currently going through a period of change and as a result you will be involved with broad range of projects and technologies supporting the business in delivering outstanding digital experiences for our customers and employees.

Software Developer

As a Numatic software developer, you will be responsible for configuring and integrating high quality software solutions across a variety of technologies within a primarily Agile delivery environment.

Reporting into the Development Services Manager the role will be varied and interesting, where you will design, engineer and test technical solutions in line with the agreed user stories. We are currently going through a period of change and as a result you will be involved with broad range of projects and technologies supporting the business in delivering outstanding digital experiences for our customers and employees.

Assembly Line Operatives – Shift Work

We are looking to introduce an additional new shift pattern in our Henry Assembly lines to support the ongoing demand Numatic is experiencing through increased sales. The role will work on a continental shift pattern as below:

The role will be working in a fast-paced assembly environment. You must be able to work accurately whilst meeting targets.

ServiceCare Team Leader

The ServiceCare team Leader will be responsible for managing and leading a team of employees, overseeing the day to day performance within the customer engagement centre. The Team Leader will communicate departmental goals and service deadlines to the team, whilst ensuring the delivery professional customer service within a sales focussed environment. The Team Leader will have full knowledge of all aspects of the Customer Engagement Centre activities reflecting the multi-skilled environment and will produce and understand reporting metrics to best influence the performance of the Customer Engagement Centre using all available management information. You will work closely with junior and middle management and will be accountable for excellence in internal and external customer service provision driving an increase in revenues and maximising up sell opportunities. In collaboration with the Marketing and Communication team you will understand social media impact and lead various social omni-channel campaigns to further enhance reach across all customer demographics. The Team Leader will be responsible for undertaking sometimes difficult procedures that will support the objectives of the Customer Engagement Centre providing continuous improvement and contribute to the work of the department whilst supporting the celebration of local successes.

Business Development Team Leader

The Business Development Team Leader will be responsible for managing and leading a team of employees, overseeing the day to day performance within the customer engagement centre. The Team Leader will look to drive Commercial Sales growth through their team in line with through.

• Effective management of distributor account relationships within the Business Development Portfolio.

• Driving sales direct with Commercial End Users in Vertical Markets.

National Commercial Sales Manager

The National Commercial Sales Manager (NCSM) will be part of the UK Sales Leadership team reporting to the Commercial Sales Director. The NCSM will lead a team of Field Based Account Managers across the UK who deal with and manage the largest and most critical commercial distribution customers in this jurisdiction. Tasked with delivering the annual commercial budget across multiple product categories, the role requires strong Line performance management, Team development, KPI setting and role evolution.

The NCSM will continually, in collaboration with the Commercial Sales Director, review, refine and evolve the “go to market” strategy, review working practices and shape/implement initiatives to identify and deliver on sales opportunities.

The NCSM will work closely with the various Account Managers to support growth initiatives and act as the escalation point for customer opportunities and issues.

The NCSM will cross functional boundaries, using substantial negotiation skills and contribute significantly to the work of the department; accountable for influencing and advising middle and senior managers on innovative solutions, feeding back on the progress of strategies, product development and future markets, whilst working proactively on measuring customer satisfaction and improving services. May be major peaks of pressure.

The NCSM will take ownership of delivering against targets and timelines to achieve plans and follow problems through to resolution whilst developing and implementing strategies, undertaking complex procedures that will support continuous improvement and contribute to the work of the department whilst supporting the celebration of local successes

  • Assembly Operatives

We run on various shifts to support each department with the products they need to complete final assembly, the shifts we offer are:

Days: 7:30 – 16:15 Monday – Thursday 07:30 – 12:30 Friday.
Double Days: 06: 00 – 14:00 Monday – Thursday 06:00 – 12:45 Friday alternating weekly with 14:00 – 22:00 Monday – Thursday 12:45 – 19:30 Friday

Electronics Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen within R&D to provide ongoing support for existing designs, at both schematic and PCB level. A current support engineer is required to update current products, specifying latest components due to obsolescence or component shortages. Primarily focused on power & embedded electronic solutions to control our existing & future product range.

You will engage with engineering, internal purchasing, and external suppliers to find an optimised solution for alternatives and support current products. To ensure the product meets the same expected ruggedness and durability through validating design and testing. You will report to Lead Engineer on current work tasks and progress.

Wiring and Harness Lead

You will manage development activities and team resource to align with project programs and deadlines & drive continuous improvement for best practise design, guidelines & rules.
Provide technical guidance & support to team members. Improve capability of team members through development and KPI reports.

You will engage with engineers and suppliers both internally and externally to ensure an optimised solution is engineered and support continuous improvement through innovation, commercialisation and business need.

Ensure that attention to detail, rectification of design error, and cost control, are considerations that you and your design team have at the forefront of your minds when engaged on design work – for both new and existing products.

Represent your team at meetings with other internal and external stakeholders, and to ensure that the interests of the technology department are properly represented and promoted in an appropriate and respectful manner.

Regularly review documentation detailing system requirements, compliance, performance & validation in accordance with product specifications .

Senior Software Engineer / UI Engineer

We are looking for an experienced UI software developers with a background or interest in mobile robotics.

This role involves working in a R&D department developing software and a UI for an autonomous mobile robotic system whish uses cameras and Lidars along with other sensors for navigation. This role will require experience translating sensor data to display real-time on the UI, an interest or experience in robotics is also beneficial. A confident communicator is a must, along with flexibility to travel when required. In return you’ll be rewarded with working on cutting edge projects where you can flex your creative muscles to solve problems and come up with creative solutions that you will have the opportunity to implement. Relocation and some remote working can be considered for this role.

You will study, research, design and develop ideas for new products and the systems used to make them as well as modify existing products to increase efficiency or improve performance. You will also support other Designers and Junior Designers in their work and encourage and develop their skills.
