Test Engineer Apprenticeship - Research and Development

About the role:

Becoming a testing expert in the role of a Compliance Test Engineer. Ensuring Numatic products meet international standards by performing and reporting in the following key areas:

  • Electrical and mechanical safety testing
  • Electromagnetic compatibility testing (EMC)
  • Material flammability testing
  • Noise and Vibration testing
  • Product performance testing

Site Services Administrator

Numatic International are the home of Henry vacuum cleaners but that’s not all, we are a growing organisation that works right across the cleaning sector specialising in commercial machines. We do everything from our site in Chard from our design and development of products to manufacturing and assembly as well as sales, logistics and all the support teams that enable all this to happen each day! We are currently looking for an administrator to work in our Site Services team, this team looks after our site and ensures that we are continually operational.

Electronics Apprenticeship – Research and Development

The role:

  • Hands on and Laboratory based position.
  • Assisting technology team members to complete research and development activities.
  • Building / testing PCB prototypes, batteries, wiring looms and harness.
  • Programming tools to update firmware at board level.
  • Using a range of specialist tools to analysis functional circuit operation.
  • Able to hand solder surface mount and conventional components to prototype PCB’s
  • Manufacturing prototype PCB’s to assist technology team members
  • Able to use a variety of test equipment.

Mould Shop Supervisor

As a Mould Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering excellence in terms of safety, quality, productivity and customer service through the effective leadership of the Mould Shop Operative Team. You will be a proactive individual and provide support to the Mould Shop Manager with a particular focus on HR issues, quality and improvement. Within your role, you will be the first port of call for all staff on shift with regard to their welfare and performance. You will possess strong communication skills and have the ability to identify areas of continuous improvement in an injection moulding environment. This position will be working on a continental shift pattern; 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off.

Product Manager (s)

Exciting and challenging opportunities have arisen here at Numatic HQ, based in Chard, Somerset, home to the famous Henry vacuum cleaner. 

But that’s not all we are about with an ever-developing team, year on year growth and exciting growth plans, not to mention an array of new and sought-after home and commercial cleaning products – we are now seeking Product Managers, with specialisms in vacuums and / or floorcare. 

Senior Software Engineer

We are currently looking for experienced software developers with a background or interest in mobile robotics.

This role involves working in our R&D department developing autonomous mobile robotic systems, using cameras and Lidars along with other sensors to enable the robot navigation. This role will require a good grasp of mathematical concepts such a kinematics and control systems and embedded programming experience would also be beneficial. A confident communicator is a must, along with flexibility to travel when required.

Senior Electronics Engineer

An exciting opportunity to be the subject matter expert in design and development of all technical aspects relating electronic design. Primarily focused on power & embedded electronic solutions to control our existing & future product range.

You will engage with engineers and suppliers both internally and externally to ensure an optimised solution is engineered and support continuous improvement through innovation, commercialisation and business need.
